MR room special acoustics
MR machines produce 95-110 dB while operating. Both transmission to outside and disturbance to the patient must be prevented. MR rooms require non-magnetic materials; standard steel structures disrupt the magnetic field. Custom-made products are used.

Field story — an Anatolian hospital ICU
Some years ago we completed an ICU acoustic intervention at a state hospital in a small town in Anatolia. The existing ambient noise level was nearly twice the international limit.
